Bruno of course could swim very well although he lived in the city. That's why he would teach Foxi himself.
Today, the weather was ideal for the first lesson. Bruno got up quite early, prepared breakfast and a picnic for their lunch. They would go to the park together by bike and if they arrived early, there would hopefully not be too many people. He intended to teach Foxi in the small lake of the park.
When the breakfast was ready, he shouted for Foxi. No answer. Foxi did not respond. This was a very uncommon reaction. Usually, Foxi was always the first one to get up and push Bruno to experience new things. Bruno had already sensed that Foxi was not overly keen on learning to swim. He still seemed to be traumatised by his shock. That's why the lessons were even more urgent.
Bruno went to the sleeping room and could not even see his friend. He searched the bed and eventually found Foxi deeply covered in all blankets they had. He obviously was hiding and snoring. But Bruno knew his friend too well: he was sure that he was only pretending and dragged Foxi out of the bed. Foxi was not pleased at all.
